Keep the Momentum Going: Thriving with STOP & FLOW Mindfulness Techniques
Have you ever felt unsure whether you could handle something new? Whether it’s at work, personal growth, or leading others, we all have moments of uncertainty. I’ve been there myself. When I first started sharing the STOP & FLOW process, I wasn’t sure I could teach others to do what I do. Today, that uncertainty has been replaced with confidence.
At last week’s STOP & FLOW Facilitator Immersive Training, I saw incredible breakthroughs. Our trainees paired up and practiced the process on each other, with confidence and bravery blossoming. One pair shared, “We both thought the other had been leading STOP & FLOW for years!” It was a reminder that with the right mindset, new challenges can become fun and rewarding opportunities.
Advanced Mindfulness: The Key to Growth and Relief
For professionals in recovery and mental health fields, the demands of the work can be overwhelming. That’s why mastering the advanced mindfulness techniques within STOP & FLOW can be a game-changer. It’s not just about surviving the day—it’s about thriving in your practice and with your clients.
Lloyd D. Mitchell, one of our recent trainees, captured this perfectly when he reflected on his training experience:
“STOP & FLOW came into my life at just the right time. It allowed me to pause and listen to what my body, mind, and spirit were telling me. This practice helped me connect with my heart and embrace even the difficult truths. If you're open to exploring something that can genuinely help, STOP & FLOW is for you.” ~ Lloyd D. Mitchell, BA, CASAC II
Not only is Lloyd finding STOP & FLOW helpful for himself as a busy therapist working in recovery, but he’s also developing the skills to share this process with his clients. This is exactly what makes the work so powerful—it benefits both the practitioner and the people they support.
What’s Next? Let’s Keep the Flow Going
If you’ve been working in recovery or mental health for a long time but feel like something’s missing—or if you’re feeling drained—it’s time to reconnect with your energy and explore something new.
That’s why I’m inviting you to join our free Conversations in FLOW session on October 24th at Noon EST via Zoom. This is a time to connect with fellow professionals, share what’s working in your practice, ask live questions, and recharge together. We’ll reflect on insights, and I’ll even pull a card for us to reflect on as we move forward.
